MyHen exists to support families pursuing alternative education by providing access to meaningful enrichment opportunities and a strong, connected community. We believe that learning should be joyful, flexible, and grounded in real-world experiences that inspire curiosity and growth.
Since our founding, we’ve served over 200 children and supported more than 100 families through hands-on classes, nature-based experiences, and community gatherings. As more families move away from traditional schooling models, MyHen.org offers a vital space for connection, exploration, and shared purpose. We're especially committed to place-based learning that ties children to Park City’s natural landscapes, agricultural heritage, and creative culture-fostering a lasting sense of place, identity, and belonging.
After successfully meeting our 2024–2025 goals in Summit County, we're excited to build on this momentum and expand our impact. For the 2025–2026 school year, we aim to serve over 400 children and support more than 200 families, doubling our reach and creating even more opportunities for youth to engage in meaningful, real-world learning.
This next chapter includes expanding into Wasatch County and surrounding areas, continuing to introduce ourselves to family-led co-ops, nature groups, and micro-communities already doing great work. We aim to build meaningful relationships, share resources, and support the families and organizers who are shaping vibrant learning environments in their own communities. We’re also strengthening partnerships with local educators, artists, farmers, and mentors, and working to increase access to free or low-cost enrichment opportunities-so that more families, regardless of background, can participate in this growing movement.
At MyHen, we believe that community-rooted education has the power to transform lives. We're proud to walk alongside families who are creating new possibilities for how children grow, learn, and connect.
MyHen.org strives to provide outlets for quality alternative education opportunities that align with your child's interests and goals. Say goodbye to the one-size-fits-all approach to education and embrace an experience that celebrates your child's individuality.
Whether you're a family seeking valuable resources or a business or individual eager to share your expertise, we welcome you to join our community.
Each child has their own educational needs, passions and timeline. With the mental health crisis plaguing our youth, more and more families are turning to alternative educational options. MyHen.org was created to support any family who has made the decision to seek alternative education opportunities wherever they are in their journey.
